17 year Invasion

This is a jar of cicadas that were only a miniscule sample of what was perching in our magnolia tree. Took hubby maybe 5 minutes to collect these. The chickens love them and made light work of them. He had to go back for more and they were so full by the end of it those chicks looked like the average american after Thanksgiving dinner. If they had belts they would have been loosening them You should have hear the noise that could be heard coming from this jar even with his hand over the top. It was amazing. I should get video of the girls eating them. They are hand fed one by one and they get so excited they literally dance like a toddler waiting for the potty - LOL
